About the role:
This role sits within SD Worx’s Risk & Security team—an international group of risk, security, and privacy professionals. The Business Continuity Manager will report directly to the Risk Director and will be responsible for leading the business continuity agenda across all countries. The role also offers the opportunity to support enterprise risk management (ERM) activities when capacity allows.
Function overview
We are seeking a Business Continuity Manager with practical experience in business continuity and resilience. We have recently rolled out a revised BC framework across all our current 27 markets, which aims to facilitate a consistent approach with respect to business recovery and disaster recovery solutions, plans and exercises.
The primary responsibility is to promote, improve and/or embed strong BCM practices across all SD Worx operations in Europe and Mauritius. The ideal candidate will also have an interest in supporting ERM initiatives as a secondary responsibility.
Key responsibilities
You will be working on the following key activities:
• Develop and roll out operational business continuity training across all countries, tailored to varying maturity levels.
• Maintain an annual operational business continuity review and training schedule.
• Support all markets in developing and maintaining their business continuity plans.
• Support the business in developing and maintaining IT disaster recovery plans.
• Maintain the Business Continuity Policy and associated internal and external customer-facing documentation.
• Align with industry best practices including ISO22301 and share best practices across the business.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all business continuity activities.
• Respond to customer inquiries with appropriate corporate responses.
• Support enterprise risk management activities when time and priorities allow.
Profile
Technical Competencies:
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a business continuity or business resilience role.
· Experience in developing and conducting business continuity training, including basic, desktop, and full simulation exercises.
· Familiarity with industry best practices and techniques.
· Working knowledge of ISO22301 framework and requirements.
· Relevant qualifications or certifications are a plus but not essential.
