Within the Risk & Security team, we are expanding our capacity to support our company doing just that through supporting our colleagues directly, triaging and reviewing alerts & advising on security practices and taking part of improvement projects.

About the role:

As Security Analyst / Engineer, you are working in the core of our Security Operations team responsible to perform analysis on various technical cybersecurity issues and to continuously improve our cyber defences. Additionally, you will develop and maintain expertise in a wide variety of technology and security platforms supporting our multitude of datacenters, clouds and workplace environments spread across over 26 countries.

Which tasks can you expect?

Security Analysis, Security Engineering, Security Expert Support

• Provide expert cybersecurity support to SD Worx and contracted personnel in the areas of security controls, configuration management, certificate & cryptographic device management, privileged access management (CyberArk) etc.
• Perform technical analysis on a wide range of cybersecurity issues, with a focus on network activity, host activity, and data.
• Assess cyber indicators/observables for technical relevance, accuracy, and potential value/risk/reliability in monitoring systems. Recommend detection and prevention/mitigation signatures and actions as part of a layered defensive strategy leveraging multiple capabilities and data types.
• Review security for next generation HR & Benefits IT systems & infrastructure and provide recommendations on security improvements to the system’s baseline.
• Develop and maintain expertise in a wide variety of technology platforms and threat vectors by ensuring daily monitoring and analysis of security logs for security components. Optimize alerting & triage based on a wide variety of sources. Work with SIEM/EDR/NDR/XDR tooling.
• Execute & improve standard operating procedures & SOC playbooks, perform incidence response and computer forensics activities. Capture lessons learned to avoid recurrence & advise other teams on security best practices and vulnerability mitigation.
• Participation in an on-call rotation including nights/weekends.
• Join potential security projects in various area’s such as vulnerability management, malware detection optimization & monitoring, cloud security, Active Directory Hardening, Privileged Access Management in collaboration with other SD Worx products & IT departments and external organizations.

What do you have to offer?

Technical Competencies:

• Experience in cyber security
• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in IT support function (preferred)
• Good understanding of Active Directory administration, IP networks, security tooling
• You are familiar with the foundations of security operation concepts and practices and you are curious to learn more in this fast-changing field.
• Any security certificate is a plus, ideally the candidate brings more extended knowledge in at least one field related to Cyber Security such as for example privileged access management (CyberArk) or certificate automation tooling.
• Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, SIEM).
