YOUR ROLE: The Implementation Data Migration Consultant will be responsible for migrating data for projects in the Implementation team. This position will work closely with Payroll Implementation Consultants, application development teams, QA teams, Consultants, business analysts and project managers throughout the implementation.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works under minimal supervision and performs a range of work of low to medium complexity.
2. Apply functional and technical expertise to effectively carry out standard data migration activities based on requirements.
3. Ensure accurate time tracking on projects and update project milestones and revenue targets on approved time tracking tool and there is no or minimal overruns.
4. Complete assigned tasks in an organized manner to ensure project deadlines are met.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams onshore and offshore.
6. Translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
7. Extract data from legacy systems using SQL scripts.
8. Transform and load data into the latest baseline system.
9. Write validation scripts to run over the Staging tables to report any invalid data.
10. Carry out Data migration tasks which include data profiling, data cleansing, data validation, and the ongoing data quality assurance process in the target system.
11. Support the quality assurance and user acceptance testing during the different Implementation phases.
12. Conduct post-migration data validation.
13. Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues.
14. Copy data across from one system to another.
15. Communicate progress and challenges to project stakeholders.
16. Attend and contribute to daily team huddles, retrospective meetings, problem solving session and lessons learnt meetings.
17. Conduct Root cause analysis of defects/issues and drive resolution.
18. Assist Support team and Sales team with escalated client questions.
19. Validate and analyse data sets to ensure data consistency and internal requirements are met.
20. Create and maintain Excel / VBA based independent utilities for the standard Data Migration Template
21. Create and maintain SOPs, How-To documents, and artifacts.
22. Ensure data integrity throughout the data migration process.
23. Handle escalated customer complaints and concerns as needed.
24. Identify and mitigate data risks.
25. Maintain appropriate levels of data security and privacy relating to customer data.
26. Support customers during the data migration process from end to end.
Note that other duties may be assigned by Team Leader/Manager for small changes.

Technical Skills
- SQL querying and scripting skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with data migration tools and software.
- Experience with data migration across different platforms and systems.

Requirements
- Degree in software engineering/computer science/IT related field with at least 1 year of experience in data transformation/migration.
- Good written & spoken English.
