About the role:
The SD Worx Business Unit Director Midmarket LOGA drives the strategic and operational performance of a modern HR Solution provider by aligning resources, processes, and teams to deliver on business goals, customer expectations, employee satisfaction and financial targets.
The SD Worx Business Unit Director Midmarket LOGA will be fully responsible for the teams of the three main operations pillars within SDWorx:
Implementation & Consulting
Payroll (SSC, MS and/or BPO)
Customer support.
The Business Unit Owner will lead the unit both strategically and operationally, be accountable for revenue, results and service quality. The lead is responsible for developing their high performing teams as well as fostering collaboration inside and outside their units. Innovation, process improvement through AI & Automation will be executed with fast pace for scaling the business and making it future proof.

Which tasks can you expect?
The role of the Business Unit Director Midmarket LOGA will ensure that SDWorx is collaborating very closely with our software partner P&I. The leader represents SD Worx in contract negotiations, defines our SDW requirements for process improvement, automation and application of AI within the tools of P&I. The top priority for this role is to gain efficiency and to work out a playbook for the optimal utilization of automation tools for other SD Worx products. Further the incumbent will improve our customer experience by launching service SLAs and first level support.
Lead teams of up to 100 employees, including heads, team leaders, other roles like project managers and support functions
Management through KPIs, OKRs, or balanced scorecards
Engage and empower teams through communication and trust
Model new behaviors and values
Management, analysis, and optimization of service and delivery processes
Development and expansion of product portfolios and services
Interface management with Product, Sales, Portfolio management and executive management
What do you have to offer?
Degree in Business administration, management or a related field, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification by professional experience
At least 5 years of senior leadership experience, ideally with an HR service provider, in an HR tech environment, or Shared Service Center
In-depth knowledge of HR processes & technology, HR Services
Experience in managing complex service processes, client relationships, ideally under SLA commitments
Proven P&L responsibility and financial steering of costs and revenue
Experienced working in a matrix environment
Ability to establish a motivating, performance-oriented team culture, client centric attitude
Experience in employee development and change management
Ability to balance operational tasks with strategic development
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong customer orientation
Strong analytical skills and quick comprehension
Excellent communication and execution skills across all levels (from team member to ExCom leadership), courageous in managing upwards
High level of self-responsibility, decision-making ability, and resilience
Empathy and team orientation while maintaining a strong focus on results
Excellent in networking and building relationships
Role model in living SDWorx feedback culture
Ability to lead complex projects and implement innovations (e.g., automation, self-service portals, AI-based solutions)
Ideally market and competitor monitoring in the HR services environment
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint)
ERP/HR systems
Understanding of digital platforms, automation tools, reporting and CRM systems
Experience with BI tools is an advantage
German & English fluent is required
Willingness to travel (depending on location structure)
Experience with hybrid work models and remote team management
Intercultural competence is an advantage (e.g., nearshoring or offshore partnerships)
High level of integrity, customer orientation, and entrepreneurial accountability
