About the role:
As People Specialist you will act as the operational HR point of contact for all day-to-day people activities in SD Worx Romania. You will ensure the quality and continuity of payroll and personnel administration. You will work closely with the People Country Lead and local managers, contributing to a positive and compliant employee experience throughout the full employment lifecycle.

Which tasks can you expect?
Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process in coordination with People Country Lead
Collect, validate and submit all payroll inputs on time (allowances, deductions, contract changes)
Ensure timesheet accuracy and reconciliation with HR systems (SuccessFactors, colorful.hr)
Calculate and administer non-salary benefits: meal vouchers, private health insurance, benefit online
Prepare and submit mandatory statutory declarations (REGES and other ANAF reporting obligations) within legal deadlines
Respond promptly to employee queries on payslips, calculations and deductions
Maintain payroll documentation archive in compliance with applicable legislation
Draft and manage personnel documents: employment contracts, addenda, decisions, employment certificates, job descriptions
Register all personnel movements in REGES and internal systems (new hires, amendments, terminations) within statutory deadlines
Manage physical and digital personnel files, ensuring data accuracy, completeness and confidentiality
Coordinate administrative onboarding and offboarding (documentation, system access, equipment return)
Track and administer annual leave, sick leave, special leave and other types of absence
Manage communications with the private health insurance provider for employee lifecycle events (joiners, leavers, amendments)
Maintain occupational health and safety documentation: contracts with occupational medicine provider, health examination scheduling, H&S training records
Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers on operational and interpersonal HR matters
What do you have to offer?
Solid knowledge of Romanian labour legislation (Labour Code, Law 53/2003, Law 367/2022, H&S regulations)
Practical experience in payroll processing and related tools (REGES, D112, colorful.hr or equivalent)
Knowledge of personnel administration procedures and statutory reporting obligations
Familiarity with HRIS systems (SuccessFactors is an advantage)
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reporting)
High attention to detail and accuracy in data and document management
Service orientation: empathy, patience and clear communication with employees and managers
Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively, including during peak periods (e.g. monthly payroll close)
University degree, preferably in Human Resources, Law, Economics or a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in payroll and/or personnel administration in Romania
Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
