About the role
The chief of staff acts as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Chief HR officer (CHRO) and the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer (CLCO), ensuring they are both focused on the highest‑impact priorities. The role drives strategic alignment, accelerates execution, and enables operational excellence across multiple business units. Operating as an extension of the CHRO and the CLCO, the chief of staff facilitates effective decision‑making, orchestrates cross‑functional initiatives, and ensures consistent communication and alignment across the organization.

Which tasks can you expect?
1. Strategic planning & execution
Shape, prioritise, and monitor strategic initiatives in partnership with the CHRO / CLCO/ and MT of Legal & Compliance and People.
Translate enterprise goals into actionable programmes with clear milestones and accountabilities.
Develop business cases, briefings, and decision-ready materials for executive meetings.
Ensure teams remain aligned to strategic outcomes and key transformation objectives.
2. Operational excellence
Drive cadence and quality of CHRO / CLCO-level meetings (e.g. leadership team meetings, quarterly reviews).
Monitor progress on key projects and ensure follow-through on action items.
Identify risks, dependencies, and misalignments early, driving resolution and accountability.
3.Communication & stakeholder management
Act as the central coordination point for CHRO / CLCO communications internally and externally.
Develop clear, concise, and high-impact presentations, reports, and announcements.
Ensure consistent narrative and messaging across all teams and transformation workstreams.
4. Decision support & analysis
Provide strategic insight, analysis, and recommendations to support CHRO / CLCO decision-making.
Conduct research and analyses on markets, competitors, operational issues, or organizational topics.
Act as a thought partner and confidential advisor on sensitive or complex matters.
5. Special projects
Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects that accelerate strategic or operational outcomes.
Serve as interim project leader during transitions or periods of heightened activity.
Drive problem-solving where issues lack clear ownership or require executive visibility.
What do you have to offer?
Experience
5–10 years of experience in business or strategic consulting, ideally gained within a consultancy environment.
Demonstrated success partnering with senior executives and navigating complex, matrixed organisations.
Demonstrated ability to lead and drive cross‑functional programs or transformation initiatives from strategy to execution.
Skills
Exceptional strategic thinking, structured problem solving, and analytical skills.
Strong communication abilities, with experience crafting executive-ready materials.
High emotional intelligence, discretion, and the ability to operate with absolute integrity.
Proven ability to bring clarity to ambiguity and influence without authority.
Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong organisational discipline with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
Experience in change management, including identifying resistance and enabling behavioural shifts.
Fluency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
