About this role
The aim of this role is to lead and guide the payroll team (Managed Services) at SD Worx Luxembourg by developing and enhancing their capabilities, knowledge and efficiency. You will also ensure that all payroll services are delivered accurately, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What will your story with us look like?
Leadership and team management: Lead and manage payroll teams and their managers (onshore and offshore), providing them with guidance, support and opportunities for development. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment through effective coaching and support. Conduct annual appraisals and provide ongoing feedback. Lead recruitment drives where necessary.
Compliance and risk management: Ensure that payroll processes comply with applicable local laws and regulations and manage associated risks.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, meeting their needs and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Profit and Loss Responsibility: Oversee the profits and losses of the payroll services division, ensuring that financial targets are met. Develop and manage budgets, forecast financial performance and implement strategies to optimise profitability.
Managing internal stakeholders: Build a strong relationship with the implementation department to ensure the smooth onboarding of new clients. Collaborate with the sales, services and product teams on corporate programme engagement and internal business improvement initiatives, including those that can deliver significant improvements through the use of our centres of expertise. Ensure strong collaboration between operations teams and implementation and support teams (or indeed the entire organisation). Avoid silos and consider the impact of decisions.
What makes you unique?
Master’s degree in HR or any other relevant field
Substantial experience in payroll services management.
You are accustomed to working with a remote delivery centre.
You have already managed a wide range of multi-stream programmes within large, complex organisations.
You have used formal change management methodologies to support business transformation.
Familiarity with performance management and development.
Change management and working in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills – able to explain technology without jargon.
Strong business acumen and a competent budget manager.
You inspire confidence in colleagues, peers and clients through charisma and natural leadership.
Demonstrable success in managing multiple stakeholders.
Flexible yet firm management of clients.
Ability to influence internally without direct line management responsibility.
Attention to detail and a structured approach to team management.
You are an experienced coach and developer of project and programme managers.
You have an extensive knowledge of English.
