About the role
As Senior Hr & Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in leading our HR operations within the newly established SAP MPS (Managed Payroll Services) and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) organization. You will ensure high‑quality service delivery within a broad range of HR operational areas, including time management, benefits administration, pensions, insurances, and garnishments.
You will orchestrate HR service delivery for our customers, secure smooth execution of daily tasks, and act as a trusted subject matter expert within the team. As an SME, you will guide and mentor medior team members, support compliance with Danish regulations, and ensure strong collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will also contribute to defining and implementing global and local process standards, supporting process design, continuous improvement initiatives, and alignment between local requirements and SD Worx global frameworks. Furthermore, you will play an important role in shaping country‑specific operating models, documentation, and training materials.
What you will be doing
Support HR transformation projects focusing on process optimisation, digitalisation, and employee experience improvements.
Contribute to the design, definition, and implementation of global and local process standards for HR BPO services.
Provide expertise in discussions on legal or regulatory process deviations and propose solutions that balance local and global needs.
Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives in country‑specific HR processes.
Assess process deviations, evaluate their impact, and decide whether they should be approved or rejected.
Lead the development of the Local Target Operating Model (TOM) in collaboration with global teams.
Ensure clear understanding and adoption of global and local standards across country teams, while allowing for client‑specific flexibility where appropriate.
Maintain SOPs, guidelines, and other process documentation to secure consistent operations across regions.
Support onboarding and training efforts for new team members, ensuring understanding of operating models and process standards.
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, including clients and internal teams, to ensure alignment and operational excellence.
Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes, and new technologies to identify opportunities for process enhancements.
Act as the final escalation point for complex HR cases and support operational teams in delivering high‑quality service.
Manage change‑order processes for internal applications and collaborate with external vendors when relevant.
Key qualifications
5–8 years of experience in HR and/or Payroll outsourcing within a large BPO or corporate environment.
Solid understanding of HR processes such as time tracking, benefits, pensions, insurances, and garnishments.
Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle, HR compliance, and local regulations.
Experience managing client relationships and delivering HR services to multinational organisations.
Strong understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and service delivery performance management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and markets.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong problem‑solving abilities, structured working style, and experience guiding teams under pressure.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Fluent in English and Danish (written and spoken).
Skills considered an advantage
Experience within a Payroll or HR BPO environment.
Professional certifications (e.g., CPP, CPS, CPM) are a plus.
Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Payroll, contact‑centre technologies, HR analytics, or automation tools.
