Job Description
The role is within the environment of our Enterprise Tools, the Product Owner of the Salesforce Servicecloud domain is responsible for maximising the value of these tools by means of, amongst others, effective backlog management and the evolution of these tools within the SD Worx product landscape.
As a member of an international team, the product owner is working closely together with internal stakeholders, the product team as well as other teams to create user stories and to prioritize these for the team, thereby considering the support that must be delivered on the yet existing tools and the future plans. Together with the team you take the end-to-end responsibility to further evolve the tools and you follow up on projects from start to finish.
The Salesforce Servicecloud team is responsible for the service management in our enterprise value chain meaning that all questions of our customers around the services they have bought from us are coming through this tool and then are distributed to the correct persons in the company that need to follow up or answer these questions. The focus is thus making sure that customers’ requests are handled by someone in SD Worx for all countries that we are active in.
Key Responsibilities
Make final decisions on product development (after listening to the team).
Illustrate the business context, problem space, and potential solution directions in close collaboration with Salesforce Functional Analysts and Developers.
Co-develop the product vision and align with the tribe lead, product managers and other product owners across related product areas.
Validate the product vision with internal customers.
Own the definition and prioritization of the product backlog.
Ensure clarity of requirements and priorities in the sprint backlog.
Drive the execution of the product roadmap and release planning.
Safeguard the technical stability and long‑term sustainability of the product.
Define product requirements, ensuring completeness, integrity and technical consistency.
Participate in sprint planning to confirm priorities and clarify requirements when necessary.
Communicate proactively with stakeholders and suppliers of enterprise tools in your portfolio.
Contribute to the tribe’s roadmap, program planning, and release coordination.
Provide regular and structured reporting on enterprise tools.
Leadership & People Management Responsibilities
Take ownership of people management for the squad, including coaching, 1‑on‑1 conversations, performance follow‑up and personal development.
Oversee team capacity, competencies, workload distribution and resource planning.
Partner with HR for recruitment, evaluations and growth trajectories.
Foster a strong, healthy team culture focused on collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement.
Educational / Skill / Experience Requirements
Degree in IT or IT‑related fields, or equivalent through experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner, ideally with exposure to Salesforce and Service Management processes.
Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of the SD Worx business.
Skilled at translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and objectives.
Experience working in Agile squads; experience in an international environment is an asset.
Strong process‑oriented mindset with a drive for continuous optimization.
Ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
Strong focus on scalability and standardization.
Excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
Ensures clear understanding of requirements within the team.
Defines required competencies in the squad together with the scrum master, agile coach and tribe lead.
Strong team player with a flexible mindset.
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
Proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
Leadership Qualifications
Proven experience in people leadership (e.g., team lead, chapter lead, coaching or similar roles).
Strong soft skills: coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution and motivating teams.
Familiarity with HR-related tasks such as performance discussions, development planning and capacity management.
