About the role:
The Administrator provides operational support across key ITIL v3 & 4 practices, including Capacity & Performance, Availability Management, Asset Management, and Configuration Management.
This role ensures that all asset, capacity, availability, and licensing data is accurate, trustworthy, complete, and actionable inside a modern Agile environment.
They enable the Product Owner and Platform Tribes to make informed decisions based on high-quality data and insights.
Which tasks can you expect?
1. ITIL v3 &4 Practice Execution & Data Stewardship
Maintains the operational activities of the Capacity, Availability & Asset value stream.
Ensures the Technical CMDB is continuously updated and reconciled with authoritative sources.
Supports lifecycle, licensing, availability, and demand reporting.
Performs daily/weekly checks of CI accuracy, completeness, duplication, and stale entries.
2. Capacity & Performance Data Support
Collects utilisation data from monitoring tools, cloud dashboards, private cloud partners, and infrastructure squads.
Maintains capacity dashboards, performance baselines, and trend reports.
Flags saturation risks early to the Product Owner.
Validates demand forecasts through structured data comparisons.
3. Availability & SLO Reporting (ITIL v4 + SRE)
Updates availability dashboards using monitoring, alerting, and incident data.
Tracks SLA/SLO breaches and metrics; supports root cause analysis.
Ensures availability insights feed backlog prioritisation activities.
4. Asset & Licensing Administration
Maintains asset lifecycle records (commissioned → in use → patched → EOL/EOS → retired).
Tracks licence usage, renewals, availability windows, and compliance requirements.
Identifies unused licences and supports cost-saving initiatives.
5. Integration with DevOps & Agile Delivery
Ensures CMDB accuracy is maintained across CI/CD deployments.
Supports squads with data to inform sprint planning and backlog refinement.
Ensures capacity, availability, and asset risks are visible early (“shift-left”).
6. Cross-Team Coordination
Coordinates with Platform Tribes to collect required technical information.
Works with Product Tribes to understand upcoming demand and environment usage.
Liaises with Enablement Leads for vendor/partner reporting.
What do you have to offer?
Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Senior Analyst in IT Infrastructure or SaaS Platforms.
Strong knowledge of ITIL (Capacity, Availability, Asset, and Configuration Management).
Proven experience managing backlogs, writing user stories, and working in Agile teams.
Experience in complex multi-vendor and multi-cloud environments.
Strong understanding of infrastructure components such as VMs, databases, networks, and Cloud architectures.
Excellent stakeholder communication across technical and business teams.
ITIL v3 or/& 4 certification.
Experience in large SaaS or multi-region hosting environments.
Knowledge of CMDB tools and Asset Management platforms.
Strong analytical and financial awareness (licensing, forecasting, cost control).
