About the role:

As a business controller you will serve as the company’s go-to person for all matters related to finance. You play a critical role in financial planning, reporting and analysis. You’re responsible for supporting key management decisions, translating business topics into short term and long term financials and challenge them.

The regular contact with the global accounting and billing teams, other controllers and especially the intensive interaction with the business managers is absolutely key to be successful in this role.

Your main areas of responsibility are:

• Being the finance SPOC for the international business department by translating strategic decisions in financials and steering in the right direction by managing risks and opportunities
• Prepare a variety of financial analyses and presentations independently, providing information to executive Management
• Understand the business model and international market to be able to challenge the business where needed
• Owner of the budget, forecast and long-term planning of your scope
• Story-building of actuals and challenge the financials, in comparison with budget, forecast & previous year as well as analyzing historical trends
• Interact with global accounting, billing teams and other country controllers
• Provide ad hoc analysis e.g. business cases to support management with financial decisions
• Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of processes

Profile

• Master degree in Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance or similar
• You have 5 years of relevant working experience within finance, controlling experience is a must
• You are pro-active, have a critical mindset and a hands-on attitude
• You have strong communication, problem-solving skills, are able to plan effectively and feel comfortable to take critical decisions
• Affinity with both business and finance with a healthy business acumen
• You have strong analytical and numerical skills
• You are fluent in spoken and written English
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Experienced in working with SAP S/4HANA and knowledge of Power BI is a plus
