About the role:
As Content Lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing a content strategy that strengthens SD Worx’s positioning as the European expert in HR & Payroll across all our markets. Sitting within the brand team, your focus is on creating compelling, high-quality content that can be adapted and activated by local marketing teams to built our brand European and in all our markets.
You will lead a team consisting of a Researcher, Content Manager and a Copywriter, ensuring that all content aligns with SD Worx’s brand messaging, tone of voice (British English), and strategic objectives. Given the broad scope of content needs, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Employer Branding, Corporate Communications, and beyond.

Which tasks can you expect?
Content Strategy & Development
- Define and implement a content strategy that drives thought leadership and brand awareness across SD Worx’s European markets.
- Define and oversee SD Worx’s research strategy, ensuring original insights and data-driven reports strengthen our thought leadership positioning.
- Plan and oversee content creation across multiple channels, ensuring the right messaging, frequency, and formats (articles, whitepapers, research reports, videos, social media content, etc.).
- Align content with SD Worx’s brand positioning, ensuring it consistently reflects our role as a trusted HR & Payroll partner.
- Maintain and enhance SD Worx’s editorial calendar, ensuring a steady stream of impactful content.
Content Execution & Team Leadership
- Manage and guide the team to ensure all content is high-quality, data-driven, and engaging.
- Ensure that all content is written in British English and is optimized for global and local market use.
- Work closely with our internal agency for creative support.
Stakeholder & Project Management
- Act as the central point of contact for all content-related requests, balancing priorities
- Work with local marketing teams to ensure content is relevant and can be effectively adapted and localised where needed.
- Collaborate with the Research & Insights teams/people across the company to integrate market trends, data, and insights into thought leadership content.
- Manage content budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring cost-effective content production.
Optimisation & Performance Tracking
- Define KPIs for content performance and continuously monitor impact across organic reach, engagement, brand awareness and lead generation.
- Leverage SEO and digital best practices to optimize content for searchability and discoverability.
- Use data-driven insights to refine content strategy, identifying what resonates most with our audience.
- Experienced Content Leader: 7+ years in content marketing, editorial, or brand storytelling, preferably in a B2B or HR/Payroll/Tech environment.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to connect content efforts to broader business objectives and brand positioning.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Project & People Manager: Experience in managing a content team and multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Familiarity with content performance metrics, SEO best practices, and audience insights.
- Innovative & Agile: A proactive mindset, always looking for new ways to improve content effectiveness.
- Strong language skills: fluent in English, both written and spoken
