YOUR ROLE: The Team Manager will be responsible for managing teams of Implementation Consultant delivering for the UK enterprise, mid-market, and SME customers. You will have a key role in managing teams’ delivery customer implementations and change control projects with accountability for ensuring they are delivered to contractual requirements, required quality standards, SD Worx Methodology, KPI improvement, utilisation, revenue, and profit targets within the Department.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively engage in the transition of contracts from sales to implementation, ensure understanding and highlight any risks and issues.
- Support the sales team in the scoping, commercialisation and contracting of opportunities relating to your project delivery.
- Proactively seek opportunities to increase growth either through engagement with customers, improving return on value for customers and developed new offerings.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activity to support business growth.
- Where appropriate undertake full line management responsibilities for individuals or a team, including recruitment, onboarding, daily huddles, performance management, resource assignment, personal development planning and other line management activities to drive objectives, drive internal progression and support colleague engagement.
- Manage a team delivering small or mid-size customer implementations to ensure all milestones are met within contractual, time, quality and budgetary constraints.
- Troubleshoot complex customer issues utilising the appropriate people or resources required for a prompt resolution. Taking ownership and seeing it through to the end.
- Build and nurture customer relationships to ensure maximisation of future revenues and business profit. Understand and anticipate the customer needs and environment and recommend ‘value added’ solutions to the customer. Acts to positively improve customer NPS.
- Managerial responsibility for Implementation operations including, where appropriate, timesheet approval, financial forecasting, utilisation, NPS scores, Customer Compensation, Implementation status, Governance Gateways, third party supplier management. Ensuring teams accurately update and maintain internal systems such as Kimble.
- Ensuring SD Worx internal systems such as Kimble, Teams, SharePoint are accurately maintained.
- Ensure team members delivery against the SD Worx agreed implementation methodology and maintain the required quality standards. Creates and maintains standard operating procedures for delivery of SD Worx product and services.
- To play leadership role in supporting Operational Readiness for future product releases. Ensure implementation team are ready to implement new feature / functionals. Proactively work with product teams on enhancements and quality improvements.
- Accountable for managing the smooth transition from implementation to Operations, ensuring service levels are achieved and ensuring operations can deliver their target operating model.
- Contribute to and review/implement recommendations made for the future shaping of the SD Worx Way Methodology Framework and supporting methodologies, so they evolve in line with corporate strategy and new service propositions.
- Follow procedures within the team that satisfy company, ISO and GDPR requirements.
- To comply with SD Worx Security Policies for the maintenance of confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and to correct personal data.

KNOWLEDGE, TECHNICAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- 2-3 years’ experience of delivery software & service projects for customers; demonstrating leadership and building relationship. Ability to manage a portfolio of customer implementations.
- Demonstrable evidence of Coaching and People Development skills, proven experience in leading remote teams.
- Track record of excellent organisational, time management and budgetary control
Strong commercial awareness in a professional services environment. Experience of work with sales team to support business growth. - Proven knowledge of Project Management Methodology, agile development, and lean management practices.
- Analytical and strategic thinking with ability to influence at all levels. Proven experience of managing complex problems and managing escalations.
- Ideally have experience of delivery of payroll projects
