Compliance Specialist - UK and Ireland Payroll and Employment

Your Role:

For the SD Worx knowledge centre we are looking for a compliance specialist in payroll / HR software and services covering compliance law. As a compliance specialist you will be working in the legal heart of SD Worx with a corporate culture characterised by a pleasant working atmosphere, open communication, collegiality and mutual respect.

 

This role can be located in the UK or Belgium.

 

As a CUSTOMER COACH - you will have the skills and ability to demonstrate that you can:

  • Build expertise with focus on the customer - have the curiosity and eagerness to be close to trends and innovation and to develop and make this expertise available for customer solutions.
  • From Service transaction to Customer journey, can assess the client’s situation, fundamental wishes and needs, also in unstructured context, and to add more value than the customer expected throughout the full customer journey and over omni channels.
  • Have the ability to collaborate effectively without boundaries (across teams, countries, languages, tools) colleagues, customers and network with his/her expertise, confidence and style.

 

Your Responsibilities:

In close cooperation with the UK Director of Compliance Strategies and other specialists of the SD Worx knowledge centre; you have the following responsibilities:

  1. Proactively following and researching legal compliance changes for areas assigned in the UK and Ireland for payroll-related regulations, employment, and international employment as they relate to SD Worx solutions and services. This means for areas assigned:
  • Gathering preliminary information and following up on potential legal changes
  • Providing relevant information on current affairs that are communicated internally and externally.
  • Maintaining contacts with policy makers and industry representative partners

 

  1. Helping determine the SD Worx position for both internal and external purposes.
  2. Giving quality guidance and determining solution and service proposals:
  • You give pragmatic compliance proposals: the knowledge centre provides the legal compliance knowledge with which the other departments of the company and the payroll environment can proceed.
  • You adopt solution compliance positions for SD Worx with an emphasis on payroll related regulations, employment and international employment. In addition to achieving strategic SD Worx goals, the smooth implementation of new legislation, optimisations and new systems related to payroll processing is crucial for internal SD Worx employees.
  • You give sound, well-founded informational guidance that is clear for non-lawyers.

 

  1. Training and knowledge transfer :
  • Knowledge transfer within SD Worx
  • Knowledge transfer to clients by developing and providing training, information sessions and seminars.

 

Your Profile

  • Educated to Master's degree and/or relevant experience in payroll and employment compliance  for the UK and Ireland, preferably including international employment ;
  • Have a strong affinity with payroll software, practice and solution process;
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience;
  • You are a real team player who can work in an organised way and, where necessary, autonomously;
  • are driven and strive for maximum customer satisfaction;
  • Have a high problem-solving capacity;
  • you have fluent written and oral communication skills in English;
  • you are able to translate complex matters into human language;
  • are not afraid to present and speak in front of a group of people (internal & external);
  • are prepared to travel occasionally to our HQ in Belgium and other SD Worx office locations.
