Performance Tests Automation Engineer

Your Role:


The role of the Performance/Load Test Automation Engineer is to ensure that the products we build are delivered with the best performance possible for our clients by developing and carrying out end to end volume and performance tests.  You will also be actively involved in providing support to the individual product squads to assist them in volume and performance testing for their particular components.


Your Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Working with the VPT lead to create a test strategy, including test data management and test automation.
  • Extending an existing Selenium framework to create an end to end volume and performance test solution across APIs, import solutions, CMF Framework and reporting solutions.
  • Carrying out manual tests where required.
  • Collating and analysing test results, including interrogating SQL databases and tools such as Dynatrace and Redgate monitoring.
  • Working with the VPT Lead, Product and Infrastructure teams across several countries to implement changes which will improve the overall performance of our product offering.
  • Working with engineers in the individual product development squads to assist them in working with the relevant parts of the framework to test their components.
  • Support testing out of hours to avoid impact to other environments, if required.

 

Your Profile:
Essential:

 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with testing tools, including Selenium and Postman
  • Experience with C#, JSON, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps
  • Understanding of tracking and versioning systems (TFS, Git, Azure DevOps)
  • Able to generate test reports and metrics to be used for analysis and validation
  • Strong team player, demonstrating professionalism at all times, and always looking for ways to improve how things are done.
  • Able to plan and manage own work items, identify risks and escalate appropriately.
  • Able to perform to agreed time scales and to department and development standards following an Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Able to self-upskill on new technologies and programming languages as required to support the needs of SD Worx.
  • A passion for delivering innovative software development solutions.

 

Desired:

 

  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery principles.
  • Experience with Neoload.
  • Experience with Dynatrace and Redgate monitoring tools.
  • Experience in using PowerBI or other reporting tools
  • Experience with cross-squad collaborations
  • Knowledge of HR and Payroll applications would be an advantage
