Head of Finance Operations SD Worx DACH and Eastern Europe (m/w/d)

We are looking for a Head of Finance Operations SD Worx DACH and Eastern Europe (m/f/d) with immediate effect at one of our German or polish locations or working from home.

Your tasks:

• Lead the Accounting and Invoicing team
• Manage the monthly reporting process to ensure all deadlines are met, prepare financial reports and management reports
• Review and comment on monthly management reports for variances from budget/forecasts
• Provide adjustment and accrual journals as needed.
• Provide financial information and reports to financial controllers and business partners as needed and provide feedback in support of forecasting and budgeting
• Provide technical guidance on accounting issues and brief finance team and business partners as needed (e.g., IFRS and GE GAAP)
• Preparation and review of monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting requirements, including quarterly corporate tax calculation (in collaboration with tax advisor), including collaboration with Group Tax team
• Lead annual audit with our external auditors and coordinate team to provide all supporting schedules for interim and year-end audit
• Ensure rigorous financial controls are in place while driving process and control improvements as needed
• Ensure all accounting entries are in compliance with GE GAAP as well as notification of all potential areas of assessment
• Review and document all key revenue arrangements on a monthly basis to ensure accurate accounting in accordance with GE GAAP and IFRS15
• Provide detailed cash flow analysis, forecasting and reporting
• Preparation of statutory financial statements for Germany and coordination of financial statements for Austria and Switzerland
• Completing and submitting sales tax returns
• Coordination of outsourcing of tasks to competence centre in Mauritius in line with finance strategy

Your qualifications:

• Successfully completed training (accountant) / master's degree in economics or in a similar field
• First experience in leading a finance team
• Min. 10 years of in-depth experience in the execution of annual financial statements
• Strong technical knowledge of GE GAAP and IFRS 15, including the latest accounting standards
• Experience with SAP R3/S4H - cloud version is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal communication, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues with both senior management and non-technical audiences
• Tenacity and determination to overcome challenges
• First experience in working in an international organiszation is a plus
• Very good command of German and good command of English
