Broad description
 

The Chapter Lead is functionally & hierarchically responsible for employees within their chapter (only functionally responsible in case employees are located in another country) and steers performance of the Chapter.

 

The Chapter Lead must build up the right capabilities and people, equip them with the skills, tools, and standard approaches to deliver functional excellence, and ensure that they are deployed to value-creation opportunities

 

Main duties and responsibilities
 

People management:

  • People manager and responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle from hiring to firing  (incl. salaries) of employees
  • Responsible for team building and employee engagement in the Chapter. Identify training needs and close skill gaps for employees in the Chapter; have regular 121’s with employees and help them deal with business challenges
  • Provide input to Career Counselor for appraisal
  • Act as escalation point for Customer Delivery Leads

 

Resource optimization:
 

Manage capacity of the chapter:

  • Process capacity requests of Customer Delivery Lead
  • Identify / solve future capacity gaps in collaboration with Cap. Manager & Tribe Lead
  • Incorporate (pre)sales activities in the capacity planning for the Chapter as needed
  • Manage profitability by steering utilization / billability of employees in the chapter identify why employees are not fully billable and establish required actions

 

Standards /  best practice sharing:

 

  • Identify best practices in ways of working
  • Drive standardization actions / projects throughout the chapter
  • Organize sessions to share best practices and teach new ways of working
  • Ensure standardized ways of working are being used on the shopfloor 

 

Typical skills, and background
 

Coaching / people management skills

  • Understanding of leadership, motivation and influence
  • Emotional intelligence and ability to resolve conflicts
  • Able to clearly state “why” & “how” to employees
  • Team builder (create sense of chapter belonging)

 

Lean / Agile understanding and ability to motivate the Chapter towards using those principles

 

Functional view / background on Adessa busines

  • Ability to assess skill gaps and coach employees on required skills (or foresee the right coaching / training)
  • Ability to detect need for standardization and implement related actions / projects / ..
