Agile Software Engineer

Your department
 
You will work in Products Payroll & Reward BE Tribe. Our department creates and maintains software that supports both our internal service providers and our customers in payroll processing as well as our obligations to the various authorities as a payroll service provider. 
 
Who are your colleagues?  
 
Your team is agile and self-organising and is supported by an agile coach.
You will work with them and the product owner to achieve your sprint goals.
 
Your responsibilities
 

  • You will work as an all-rounder within a software development team, with the main emphasis on back-end work.
  • Your primary focus is on developing existing applications and working on new expansions of these applications.
  • You will participate in the daily stand-ups, are flexible in the activities you are tasked with, and are highly cooperative with the rest of the team.
  • You will work as an agile software engineer in a scrum team with a product owner who determines the right priorities. 

 
Your profile
 
We expect you to:
 

  • have strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • communicate actively and be a team player;
  • be able to convert customers’ and businesses’ wishes into functional software;
  • be prepared to work in an international environment and have sufficient knowledge of English (B level);
  • be interested in the world of HR and Payroll;
  • have in-depth knowledge of the following technologies as well as being prepared to upskill in others;
    • C#, Net Core
    • Rest Api
    • HTML, CSS
    • NServiceBus
    • NHibernate of Entity Framework
    • Unit testing/mocking
    • Domain-driven design
    • Design patterns (ORM, dependency injection)
    • SQL
    • Git, TFS, Scrum
    • DevOps (release pipelines, continuous integration, continuous delivery)
  • experience with the following is definitely an asset;
    • Angular
    • Typescript
    • Azure DevOps
  • an interest in the world of HR and Payroll
